  • For final grading,

    • the grades will be given based on comparison (or curve: your grade is relative to the grades of your classmates), and
    • a normal distribution or gap finding is usually applied.

  • This is the second time that I teach this course. Two example of my previous grading are Grades I and Grades II. They are for you to see my grading style, which may change semester to semester.

  • If you have not registered this course yet, your ID is the last four digits of your UND ID.

  • My teaching philosophy is here.
The following signs indicate the status of your grades:
  • : the instructor has received the assignment and it will be graded as soon as possible.

  • : the assignment needs an appointment for demonstration. Make an appointment as soon as possible.

  • 😡: the assignment was submitted, but is incomplete. Before it can be graded, check the specs carefully and find which actions are missed such as password and report submission, code uploading, demonstration, etc.

  • : the assignment was submitted, but requests to hold the grading.

  • 😈: the demo failed and requests for another demo.

  • 💀: requested for re-grading and the request may or may not be granted.

  • : the assignment is not correct, and it may or may not be graded later.

  • 😖: the assignment is not gradable. Contact the instructor as soon as possible.

  • 😰: the assignment is a late submission, and it may or may not be graded later.

  • 😂: the assignment is a late submission and appropriate credits will be assigned.

  • 🚮: the assignment has problems and the instructor asks for a re-submission.

  • : the assignment is suspected of plagiarism.
