Palm OS is the operating system originally designed for the Palm series of PDAs. Palm is a fully ARM-native, 32-bit operating system running on new hardware. The existing library of thousands of software titles compliant with Palm OS 5 will work even better than before, due to the increased speed of the processor, the efficient OS, and software enhancements like the high-density Window Manager. Unlike operating systems used by other handhelds, the Palm OS is built to function on a particular type of device.
