Cloud Computing Vs. Web Hosting

Cloud computing and web hosting services are similar:
Cloud Computing
It is computing in which large groups of remote servers are networked to allow the centralized data storage, and online access to computer services or resources. The figure shows a generic architecture of cloud computing.
Web Hosting Services
It is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the WWW.
Cloud Computing vs. Dedicated Web Hosting Services
The web hosting provider leases out the full control to the client. This service also includes technical support, backup services, installation of security patches etc. and thus are more expensive than cloud hosting. Another difference is that the resources of a dedicated server are usually used below 60%, so it never runs at full capacity.
Cloud Computing vs. Shared Web Hosting Services
A shared web hosting allows the user to share the server resources with other users. If one website overloads the server, all users will suffer from low speed or downtime. On the cloud the website is hosted not only on one but on several servers. If one machine is broken, the others will backup its data and processes and no downtime will appear.
